What’s new

#
  • Availability matching handles longer openings. Compatible players now load correctly for both short sessions and broader availability windows.

  • Play and Train put related work in one place. The simpler navigation leads with Home, Play, Train, and Messages. Play brings together best fits, availability, invitations, and history; Train brings together ghosting, drills, favourites, and recent sessions.

  • Home and availability now focus on the next useful action. Home leads with one recommendation, availability keeps each time to one matching action, and compatible players remain visible even when no exact time overlaps.

  • Availability now turns overlaps into invitations. See compatible players for each opening, send a match, drill, or cutthroat invite, notify other matches, and edit a posted time without recreating it.

  • Plans, training, and member tools are more complete. Replace a declined invitee, run and log drills, save ghosting presets, review recent practice, and let owners correct a member’s Club Locker link.

  • Weekly summaries are optional. Players can opt into one weekly notification highlighting compatible openings and pending invites.

  • Match results can be confirmed in Play plans. Either player can enter a score, the opponent can confirm or dispute it, and a later official Club Locker result takes precedence automatically.

  • Club Locker profiles and box results are connected. Verify your player identity from the club directory, view rating-history graphs, follow current box-league results, and see exact results linked to matching play plans.

  • The drill library is ready. Browse 16 court-ready drills, filter by players and skill, save favourites, or carry a drill into availability and player invites.

  • Guided ghosting is ready for the court. Run technique, match-rhythm, or speed sessions with six-zone visual calls, optional voice coaching, work intervals, and recovery breaks.

  • Help is now built into the app. Search this guide, browse by topic, or share a direct link to the exact answer someone needs.

  • The app is easier to scan. Refined typography and mobile spacing make player cards, forms, messages, and navigation feel calmer and clearer.

  • Availability starts with your preferences. New availability now defaults to the play types selected in your profile, while still letting you adjust each opening.

Earlier updates
  • You have more control over your content. You can remove your own messages and comments, while authorized moderators can remove ideas when needed.

  • Finding the right players is faster. Rating compatibility, shared availability, play-type filters, and cutthroat suggestions now work together in one view.

  • Sign-in links are safer and more reliable. A confirmation step protects one-time sign-in links from automated email security scanners.

Getting started

#

Langley Squash helps local players find compatible people who are available at the same time and interested in the same kind of play.

  1. Request access with your name and email address.
  2. Open the one-time sign-in link sent to your email and confirm sign-in.
  3. Select your name from the Fitness Unlimited Club Locker directory.
  4. Wait for an owner or authorized approver to approve your application.
  5. Complete your rating range, play preferences, and contact choices in My profile.
  6. Open Play to add availability, see your best fits, and start coordinating.

Find and play

Find compatible players

#

Find players combines mutual rating compatibility, play preferences, availability, and blocks. A player appears only when both of your visibility ranges allow the connection.

  • Filter by any supported play type: Match, Drills, Cutthroat.
  • Best fit is the default, so compatible players remain visible even when no exact time overlaps.
  • Open Search and filter to search by name or narrow by play type.
  • Use Available now to focus on people who have posted a compatible time.
  • Use All compatible to browse eligible players even when no current time overlaps.
  • For cutthroat, review suggested three-player combinations whose ratings and schedules line up.

Find and play

Share your availability

#

Availability tells compatible players exactly when you can play and whether you are actively looking or simply open to an invitation.

  1. Choose a specific date and time, or create a weekly recurring opening.
  2. Confirm the play types for that opening. Your profile preferences are selected by default.
  3. Choose Looking for a game to prioritize the time, or Open if asked when there is no urgency.
  4. Publish the opening, then use its matching action to see compatible players and send an invite.
  5. Open the more menu to edit, mark filled, or remove a time. Filled times can be reopened.

Train

Browse and plan drills

#

Train brings your recent practice, ghosting, and favourite drills together. The Drill library explains club-friendly solo, two-player, and three-player practices with setup, court areas, complexity, intensity, scoring, and progressions.

  1. Filter by player count, level, or training focus, or search by name.
  2. Open a drill to review the full court guide and agree on the pattern before starting.
  3. Choose Start drill for a court timer, step-by-step prompts, and a saved training entry when you finish.
  4. Save useful drills with the favourite button so they are easy to find again.
  5. Choose Practise this to attach the drill to a new availability, or Find a partner to invite a compatible player with the drill already named.

Train

Use the ghosting trainer

#

Ghosting trainer guides solo squash movement around six court zones. Follow each visual or audio call, play an imaginary shot, and recover through the T before the next call.

  1. Choose Movement flow for technique, Match rhythm for varied calls, or Speed repeat for short high-intensity efforts.
  2. Open the optional controls to tune a session and save it as your own preset.
  3. Choose Voice + tones, tone-only cues, or muted visual coaching, then use Test audio before stepping onto court.
  4. Start on the T, open full screen if you prefer, and follow the highlighted zone and Smooth or Quick movement cue.
  5. Use Pause whenever movement quality drops. Skip moves to the next work or recovery interval.
  6. Completed sessions are saved to your training history.

Invites and play plans

#

Send an invite from a player card or a cutthroat suggestion. Choose the play type, exact start and end time, and an optional note.

  • Recipients can accept or decline from Play plans.
  • Accepted plans keep the participants and timing together in one place.
  • If someone declines, the organizer can replace that invitee with another compatible player without rebuilding the plan.
  • Open the linked conversation to settle any remaining details.
  • The organizer can cancel a plan that is no longer happening.
  • After a two-player match starts, either player can enter the winner and score. The other player confirms it or flags a correction.
  • When Club Locker has one exact result for the same two verified players and date, the app links it and completes the plan automatically.

Club Locker ratings and results

#

Langley Squash imports current club ratings, rating history for verified members, and the active Fitness Unlimited box league’s submitted results.

  • Open a compatible player’s profile to see their verified rating and rating-history graph.
  • Open Box results for the latest submitted league scores and a link back to Club Locker.
  • Choose your Club Locker identity while your membership is pending, or request verification later from My profile.
  • An authorized approver must confirm the identity before it controls your rating.
  • If a member is linked to the wrong directory entry, an owner can unlink it or select the correct Club Locker player from Member access.
  • Administrators can review sync health, retry a refresh, and change the current box league when a new session begins.

Communicate

Messages and group conversations

#

Use Messages for private one-to-one or group coordination. Conversations created from a play plan stay connected to that plan.

  • Start a conversation with one or more compatible players.
  • Only conversation members can read and send messages in that conversation.
  • You can delete a message you sent. Other participants’ messages remain intact.
  • Unread activity appears in the navigation and Notifications.

Profile and privacy

Rating ranges and visibility

#

Your profile has two separate rating ranges: the ratings you want to see and the ratings allowed to see you. Discovery works only when both players’ choices agree.

  • Use Ratings I want to see to control your discovery results.
  • Use Ratings allowed to see me to control which rated players can discover you.
  • Use Close, Balanced, or Wide for a quick starting range, then open Advanced if you want exact minimums and maximums.
  • Select your Club Locker identity in My profile. An approver verifies it before imported ratings replace self-reported ratings.
  • A block always overrides both rating ranges.

Profile and privacy

Contact preferences

#

Choose which contact methods compatible players may use. A saved method is shared only when you enable it.

Profile and privacy

Block or unblock a player

#

Blocking is private and mutual in effect: neither player can discover the other or see the other’s availability, regardless of rating compatibility.

  1. Use Block on the player’s card when you no longer want to see each other.
  2. Open My profile and find Blocked players to review your list.
  3. Choose Unblock if you want normal discovery rules to apply again.

Community

Ideas, comments, and voting

#

Ideas is the shared product-feedback board. Describe an improvement, discuss it with other players, and vote to help the most useful requests rise.

  • Use a specific title and explain the player problem the idea would solve.
  • Upvote ideas you support and downvote ideas you do not think should be prioritized.
  • Add comments when you have useful context or a variation to suggest.
  • You can delete your own comments. Idea owners and authorized moderators can remove ideas when appropriate.

Notifications

#

Notifications collect important activity such as messages, invitations, and responses. In-app updates are always available, while optional browser push and email delivery can be managed from the Notifications page.

  • Open an item to go to the related part of the app.
  • Mark individual items read as you handle them.
  • Use Mark all read when the remaining items no longer need attention.
  • Choose which categories can reach you by email or browser push; these choices do not remove the in-app history.
  • Enable Weekly summary if you want a once-a-week reminder about compatible openings and unanswered invites.
  • Enable browser notifications separately on each device. On iPhone or iPad, add Langley Squash to the Home Screen first.
